Free Download All Creatures Great and Small Online Now!

All Creatures Great and Small- To begin, this movie has a great beginning; it pulled me right into it.This is something not usually seen in movies of this type, so it makes it an unusual, yet pleasant experience. The action scenes are really great. Lisa Harrow played his role great. Anthony Hopkins actually caught my interest.

I think Lisa Harrow and Anthony Hopkins worked wonderful in All Creatures Great and Small. The great supporting cast includes Lisa Harrow, Anthony Hopkins, Brian Stirner, Simon Ward.

All in all, I would rate this movie an 8.5/10. I would definitely watch this movie again.

Summary of All Creatures Great and Small:
This television film based on the autobiographical novels of country veterinarian James Herriot predates the popular British TV series of the same name by several years. Shot on location in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside, it is utterly charming and features quite an illustrious cast. Academy Award-winning actor Sir Anthony Hopkins is terrific as the dedicated, exasperating Dr. Siegfried Farnon, who takes young Herriot, fresh out of a London veterinary college, on as his assistant. Herriot is appealingly played by Simon Ward (perhaps best known as the Duke of Buckingham in The Three Musketeers). The movie opens as Herriot arrives for an interview with Farnon. Dressed in his spotless Saville Row suit, Herriot is immediately swept along on a "horse call" and finds himself treating a messy injury. This is the life that Herriot always dreamed of! Like the series, the movie is a must for animal lovers. (Yes, Mrs. Pumphrey is here with her pampered lap dog, Tricky Woo.) It's also delightfully romantic, as it follows the courtship between Herriot and his bride-to-be, Helen (lovely Lisa Harrow). Droll British humor and authentic period detail cap off a thoroughly satisfying production. --Laura Mirsky

Review of The Forsyte Saga, Series 1

The Forsyte Saga, Series 1- has always been a favorite of mine.Through out the movie, Damian Lewis simply shines. Rupert Graves actually caught my interest too.

I think Damian Lewis and Rupert Graves worked wonderful in The Forsyte Saga, Series 1. The great supporting cast includes Damian Lewis, Rupert Graves, Gina McKee, Corin Redgrave, Ioan Gruffudd.

If you are a true like The Forsyte Saga, Series 1, you will want to add this movie to your collection.

Summary of The Forsyte Saga, Series 1:
Granada Television's adaptation of The Forsyte Saga achieved the seemingly impossible in spring 2002, matching the BBC's 35-year-old black-and-white classic version with a richly cast and superbly directed take on John Galsworthy's first two novels. The success of these six 90-minute episodes proved that despite the current emphasis on miniseries and dramas developed around the hot actor of the moment, our appetite--and attention span--still craves ensemble pieces that are given space and time to develop. It also demonstrates that nothing generates television gold like a compelling family drama crammed with lust, rape, class conflict, and the insuperable power of money.

The Forsyte Saga is nothing if not superior soap opera. It could all have gone horribly wrong, haunted by the specter of its BBC predecessor--a television legend for anyone over 40. Instead, it succeeds entirely on its own merits with scarcely a weak link--from Stephen Mallatratt's taut and fluid script to David Moore's carefully measured, seamless direction. Risks were taken to banish the old ghosts, particularly in the casting. Damian Lewis's repressed Soames and Gina McKee as his ill-matched bride, the enigmatic Irene, are inspired choices delivering complex portraits of unhappy, damaged human beings who deserve our sympathy. In a sea of marvelous cameos and splendid acting, the top honors go to Corin Redgrave and Rupert Graves for their hauntingly sensitive interpretations of old and young Jolyon, as well as to Amanda Root for her increasingly exasperated Winifred and Gillian Kearney for her sharply intelligent and worldly June. --Piers Ford
